Investment and Development Agency of Latvia Signed a Memorandum with Council of Arab Economic Unity
Dubai: Adam Global one of the world’s largest multidisciplinary network of independent Legal, Accounting and Consulting firms and CEO Club one of the largest Business Networking Club, hosted a high-powered delegation led by the Minister of Economics, H.E. Arvils Aseradens, of Latvia at Hotel Rotana Arjaan, Dubai Media city.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al Sudain –President of Arab Union for investment and Real Estate Development, Andris Ozols –General Director of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, CEO of Adam Holdings Mr. Khalid Akhtar and, CEO of CEO Clubs Network Mr. Tariq Nizami.
Addressing the event, Minister of Economics of Latvia shed light on three promising areas such as Tourism, Trading with high-quality goods, and innovation with startups. He also spoke about the bilateral relation between UAE and Latvia.
In 2014 Foreign Economic Representative office of Latvia was established in UAE. In 2016 both countries agreed on economic Cooperation. Then after Embassy of Latvia was established in Latvia. Lastly, he added that Latvia is looking forward to establishing an agreement on the facilitation and protection of Investment.
“We are now are developing an excellent eco-system for start-ups and then we see how we will connect our platforms with local platforms here in UAE. Currently, we are focusing on Academia as well as we are trying to cement relations with the Education Industry in UAE because we believe education is the backbone of any successful society”. Mr. H.E. Arvils Aseradens stated.
Furthermore, Investment and development Agency of Latvia inked MOA with the council of Arab Economic Unity. The main objectives of this MOA is to set up a mechanism for development of mutually beneficial economic relations and competitive businesses relations in the Arab States and Latvia,
Additionally, seeking opportunities to develop close commercial relationships and increase the volume of trade relations and investment, and enhance transfer of experience and know –how between each other, lastly endeavoring to foster a benevolent environment for economic cooperation and investments.
“The occasion served as a good opportunity for businessmen in the two countries to boost trade ties, with co-organizers Adam Global and CEO Clubs Network played a major role in setting up the platform for both parties to exchange expertise in Education, Petrochemical, Tourism, Environment, Construction and Planning, Healthcare and medicines, Food Production and in other domains”, Ms. Inga Ulmane, Deputy Head of the Representative Office (LIAA), in UAE said.
Mr. Advaita Sharma, Global Manager at ADAM Global delivered a presentation themed ‘How to do business in UAE’, that was focused on collaborative business synergies between UAE and Latvia.
“It’s worth mentioning that, Adam Global works closely with Governments, and this time, we are working with Latvia’s investment and Development Agency to facilitate business development in the Baltic state, by attracting foreign investors who are seeking opportunities to enter the EU market through Latvia”, Advaita Sharma, commented.
