Biography
Geethu Sivakumar, born in Thiruvananthapuram, a 22-year-old girl growing up to become the CEO of an IT company - Pace was a result of sheer determination to do something on her own. Her first interest in technology started while doing a one-year fellowship at Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology while studying in 8th standard at Nirmala Bhavan Higher Secondary School, Kowdiar, Trivandrum. She then became the best web developer in Kerala State in the IT Fest conducted by Kerala Government, IT Mission and Technopark. Having achieved this, Geethu got selected by the Government of India as a student ambassador to Japan for two weeks. The idea of starting her own venture came into her mind while doing Electronics and Communication Engineering at Government Engineering College, BartonHill. She used to do freelance works, internships and several online works during that time. With the support of college authorities and friends she was the first student and first girl to register a startup in the college TBI. The quality of projects and timely customer interaction brought more projects to her startup. Good cash flow started coming in and due to her saving habit from childhood, she utilized it well to make better projects and company development. Geethu was also the first one to develop the first campus news mobile application of the country, and it made a huge impact. She was also active in extracurricular activities. She was the vice chairperson of the college and also kalathilakam, the award of art excellence. During her final semester, with the intention of patenting her final year project, Geethu attended a workshop conducted by Sasthra Bhavan, whose chief guest was the chairman of a multinational business group Beta. She discussed her startup and future ideas, which could make a good impression and result in the support of Beta Group for her startup. With the business guidance of experienced veterans and mentoring, Geethu grew her company to greater heights. Within a period of time, Geethu also brought in changes to the IT sector of Beta Group to help it grow to better heights. Seeing the change, Geethu's startup got investment and support from the group and it flourished by the name PACE.
