Hernando Rivas is graduated in Business Administration from the University of the Andes and took advanced courses in the Master of Corporate Finance at Golden Gate University (San Francisco, USA). He works for more than 12 years in the Investment Banking sector. Among his professional experiences, he had to contribute to the structuring of more than 10 major infrastructure projects (project finance) and he gets involve the Bank in syndicated loans under project finance structures valued at US$35 million. In 1994, when there was not even create the regulation of private equity funds, he was selected by the International Development Bank (IDB)-Proinvest as a consultant of the first programs to value Colombian companies and lookup for international strategic partners. It was part of the Latin American and European Mergers & Acquisitions Sudameris Group (Banca Intesa).
We are an independent investment banking focused on the valuation of small and medium enterprises and finding investors who want to invest in these companies or who want to sell its stake in one of its businesses. We also have other financial advisory services such as long-term financial planning for businesses, preparation of feasibility studies, fundraising and cost and profitability analysis.
Another new line of business is consulting to educational institutions and research institutes in the field of technology transfer and the creation of technology-based companies and their funding sources in partnership with international allies. We also provide advice to entrepreneurship units on innovation, capacity building, and training in financing start-ups instruments, individually or in partnership with my international partners
